Stone Cold
As part of English this term, the learners of the Acorn House have been reading Stone Cold. It is about a homeless teenager who is struggling to come to terms with living on the streets and his homeless friends mysteriously going missing.
The learners have enjoyed reading along and some learners have even built up the confidence to read aloud to the group. Some great character voices were used!
As part of this topic the learners have also been answering reading comprehension questions, made their own charity magazine cover and completed some great research skills!
